Reflexology, is a relaxing complementary therapy that involves applying gentle pressure to specific points on the feet, hands or ears. These points are believed to correspond with different areas of the body. The treatment encourages deep relaxation and provides a calming opportunity to pause, unwind and focus on your wellbeing.
Please note: Reflexology is a complementary therapy and is not intended to diagnose, treat or cure medical conditions. It should not replace advice or treatment from your GP or other healthcare professional.
If you have been diagnosed with or suspect you may have a pre-existing medical condition, please consult your GP for advice before starting any new therapies.

1. Reduces Stress
Reflexology encourages deep relaxation and may help calm the nervous system, helping the body move from a state of tension towards a more relaxed state.
2. Supports Better Sleep
By promoting relaxation and helping to quiet a busy mind, reflexology may support a more restful and settled night's sleep.
3. Helps Relieve Tension & Discomfort
Reflexology helps the body relax and can be particularly soothing when you are carrying everyday muscular tension or feeling physically uncomfortable.
4. Supports Emotional Wellbeing
Taking time to relax and receive nurturing touch may help reduce feelings of stress and tension and encourage a greater sense of calm and wellbeing.

Your treatment begins with a consultation so we can discuss how you’re feeling and what you’d like from your session.
You’ll remove your shoes and socks then get comfortable on the treatment bed.
I use my thumbs and fingers to apply gentle, controlled pressure to different areas of the feet, using techniques such as thumb and finger walking, gentle holds, rotations and flowing massage movements. These areas are known as reflex points and are believed within reflexology practice to correspond with different areas of the body. The pressure is adapted to your comfort, and most people find the treatment deeply relaxing.

I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Every client who comes to Positive Soles is different, and I take the time to understand what you need from your treatment.
My treatments are personal. I combine my knowledge, intuition and the skills I’ve developed across Reflexology, Reiki and massage to create an experience that feels right for you on the day.
I’m naturally caring and compassionate, and I genuinely love what I do. I’m not here simply to carry out a treatment and send you on your way, I want you to feel that you’ve been truly looked after, I also check in with you a few days afterwards to see how you’re feeling and answer any questions you may have.
Most importantly, I’m a real person who understands that sometimes life is busy, overwhelming and exhausting. I know how important it is to have someone who listens without judgement and gives you the space to just be yourself.
That’s what Positive Soles is all about, treatments with a personal touch, delivered with genuine care.

Reiki: (pronounced ray-key) is a gentle, non-invasive complementary therapy that promotes deep relaxation and a sense of calm and wellbeing.
Originating in Japan, the word Reiki is commonly translated as “universal life energy”. The practice was developed by Mikao Usui in Japan in the early 20th century and has since become a complementary therapy practised around the world.
The word Reiki is made up of two Japanese words:
REI — often understood as universal or spiritual wisdom
KI — life-force energy

During your Reiki treatment, you remain fully clothed and comfortably settled on the treatment couch, wrapped in a soft blanket. I use gentle, non-invasive hand positions either lightly on or just above the body, allowing you the time and space to completely switch off.
Reiki is not connected to any particular religion or belief system, and you don't need to believe in Reiki to enjoy the deeply relaxing experience it can offer.
A wonderfully calming treatment for those looking to step away from the demands of everyday life, slow down and enjoy some much-needed time for themselves.
Reiki may help to reduce stress and tension, support emotional wellbeing, encourage relaxation and leave you feeling calm, refreshed and balanced. It is a beautiful treatment for anyone who feels mentally or physically drained and would like some quiet time to switch off and reconnect with themselves.
Please note: Reiki is a complementary therapy and is not intended to diagnose, treat or cure medical conditions. It should not replace advice or treatment from your GP or other healthcare professional. description

Thai Leg & Foot Massage is a deeply relaxing and restorative treatment focusing on the feet and lower legs up to the knee.
-
Your treatment begins with a warm and relaxing foot soak, giving you time to settle in and switch off before your massage begins.
You will then get comfortable on the treatment bed and covered with a blanket while I work on the feet and lower legs up to the knee, using a combination of flowing massage movements, gentle stretching, kneading, acupressure and traditional Thai techniques. A traditional Thai massage stick is also used on areas of the feet as part of the treatment.
Pressure is always adapted to your comfort, so you can simply close your eyes, relax and enjoy some uninterrupted time for yourself.
By the end of your treatment, your feet and legs may feel lighter, refreshed and deeply relaxed, while the calming nature of the experience can leave you feeling relaxed throughout your whole body.
For your comfort, I recommend wearing loose-fitting trousers that can easily be rolled above the knee, or bringing a pair of shorts to change into.
